CHICAGO, Illinois (May 7, 2007) — The Organic Trade Association (OTA) is looking forward to its 2008 All Things OrganicTM Conference and Trade Show, which will be held in late April 2008, along with the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade, Inc.’s (NASFT®) Fancy Food Show® and the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture’s (NASDA) U.S. Food Export Showcase.

The three shows will co-locate at McCormick Place in Chicago April 27-29, 2008. Participants are being told to “expect the unexpected!,” reflecting the wide diversity of products that will be offered.

“All Things OrganicTM exhibitors and attendees will have an excellent opportunity to continue to build their businesses in 2008. This co-location will offer an exciting showcase for these fast-growing segments of the food industry, as well as for non-food organic products,” said Caren Wilcox, OTA’s executive director. She added, “The 2008 events are expected to draw large delegations of buyers from North America and around the world.”

NASFT and OTA will attract buyers from organic, natural, specialty, foodservice and gift businesses, while continuing to draw supermarkets and mass merchants, thus creating a truly dynamic event. The U.S. Food Export Showcase, which includes packaged and ready-to-eat food products, helps small and mid-size U.S. food manufacturers to tap into the growth potential of international markets.

As a membership-based business association, OTA focuses on the organic business community in North America. OTA’s 1,600 members include farmers, processors, importers, exporters, distributors, retailers, certifiers, and more. OTA partners with Diversified Business Communications to organize and present All Things OrganicTM . The 2007 show, which runs May 6-8, is its biggest ever, with over 600 booths and a conference program of three keynote presentations, 20 conference topics, and five Organic 101 conference sessions.

Established in 1952, the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade, Inc. (NASFT®) is the only U.S. trade association representing all segments of the specialty food industry. Today, there are 2,500 members that produce nearly 180,000 specialty food products.

NASDA is a non-profit association of public officials representing the commissioners, secretaries, and directors of agriculture in the 50 states and four territories of the United States of America. It works closely with its members, four affiliated regional trade groups (Food Export Association of the Midwest, Food Export USDA—Northeast, Southern U.S. Trade Association, and the Western U.S. Agricultural Trade Association) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service to offer food industry entrepreneurs an affordable way to reach buyers from around the world.
