Organic Trade Association announces 2007-2008 officers
CHICAGO, Illinois (May 7, 2007)—Beginning her second year as president of the Organic Trade Association (OTA), Jesse Singerman of Prairie Ventures presided at OTA’s annual meeting Saturday, May 5, in Chicago in conjunction with the 2007 All Things Organic™ Conference and Trade Show at McCormick Place.
Other officers for 2007-2008 include Julia Sabin of Smucker Quality Beverages, vice president representing the United States; Dag Falck of Nature’s Path, vice president representing Canada; Luis Acuña of CF Fresh, secretary; and Chuck Marcy of Healthy Food Holdings, LLC, treasurer.

In OTA’s recent balloting, Hélène Bouvier of Organic Ranchers/MOMA Trade Pool, Inc., Theresa Marquez of Organic Valley/CROPP Cooperative, Marty Mesh of Florida Organic Growers/Quality Certification Services, and Sabin were re-elected to the board. The board also has selected Jack Erisman of Goldmine Farms, Inc., to fill an appointed position on the board. All five seats have three-year terms.
Other members on the board include Lynn Clarkson of Clarkson Grain Company, Dave DeCou of the Organic Materials Review Institute, Todd Linsky of Cal/Organic-Grimmway Farms, Matthew McLean of Uncle Matt’s Organics, Inc., Phil Margolis of Neshaminy Valley Natural Foods Distributor, and Maria Morgan of Small Planet Foods, Inc.
