Organic Trade Association Appoints Richard Struthers
New Member Development Manager
Greenfield, MA – (Feb. 10, 2009) –Richard Struthers has been appointed the New Member Development Manager of the Organic Trade Association (OTA), the business association for the organic industry in North America.
“Dick’s extensive experience in the organic industry will go a long way towards helping the OTA to better serve its expanding membership,” said Christine Bushway, executive director, OTA.
In his new position, Struthers will work to support and build the association’s diverse membership. Its 1,700 current members include organic growers, shippers, processors, certifiers, farmers’ associations, distributors, importers, exporters, consultants, and retailers, among others.
Prior to joining the OTA, Struthers held sales positions with some of the nation’s foremost organic and natural products distribution companies, including Northeast Cooperatives, United Natural Foods (UNFI) and Albert’s Organics. He lives in Putney, Vermont with his wife and three children.
